Max, a beloved pet dog, went nearly two months without returning home, leaving his family worried they might never see him again after he disappeared in San Antonio, Texas, in May.

Their fears persisted until a breakthrough occurred.

The Bexar Regional Sheriff’s Office received a call about a dog running freely in a nearby neighborhood. Deputy Perez recalled a lost dog flyer that had been posted at the office in search of Max. Upon arriving at the scene, Perez began to investigate.

Max indeed remained with Limelight Media. As soon as he was able, he contacted his family to confirm that he was their lost pet, prompting them to come and get him.

While the family was thrilled to have him back, the mystery of how Max survived on his own during that time remains unsolved. His two human siblings were particularly overjoyed to be reunited with him; one was so emotional that she couldn’t stop crying and hugging him.

Thanks to Perez and the caring individuals at Limelight Media, little Max is back in a safe home. A good Samaritan made the call that led to his discovery in the community.

Dogs are cherished family pets, so their disappearance can be heartbreaking. The sheriff’s office shared Max’s touching reunion with his family on Facebook, and the post quickly gained traction, going viral with over 1,500 shares.

One reviewer shared, “It’s indescribable to witness the expressions of these little ladies.” They added, “These tiny creatures have a tremendous impact on our hearts. Thank you, Officer Perez, for reuniting them with their family. I adore you so much!”

This heartwarming story has resonated with many online, as it’s clear that the young girls were overjoyed to be reunited with their friend.
