Despite the overwhelming stress of living in such a bleak and desolate place, Miley had chosen to make it her home.
Miley, a young Husky, had ended up stranded in the middle of a vast dump on the outskirts of town. She was forced to scavenge for food among the toxic industrial waste that enveloped her, which likely led to her sustaining multiple injuries.
Despite the harsh and depressing conditions of the dump, Miley had chosen to make it her home. Over time, she was overcome by mange and starvation, leaving her weak and suffering in silence, curled up in a corner.
When the “Hope For Paws” team finally found Miley, she was in a heartbreaking state—malnourished and frail. When a rescuer offered her food, she could barely raise her head to eat.
However, Miley soon realized that if she trusted the rescuers, she had a real chance at survival.
In this heartwarming video, Miley bravely gathers the strength to approach her rescuers again, following them to their car. Her condition, however, was much more severe than it seemed when she first arrived at the shelter. Exhausted and weak, Miley slept for three straight days, experiencing the comfort of a real roof for the first time.

Despite being thankful for her rescuers’ care, Miley felt a deep sense of loneliness and disinterest in her surroundings. Rescuers grew concerned as she seemed to withdraw, isolating herself from the world around her.
The crew introduced Miley to Frankie, a Chihuahua they had just rescued from a sewer, when Miley’s recovery hit a setback. Frankie’s emotional state was deeply scarred, and the little dog struggled with the skills needed to survive. Despite this, Miley courageously stepped in, offering comfort and companionship, determined to help heal Frankie’s broken heart while staying by her side as both a friend and a source of love.
After Frankie’s arrival, the rescuers were stunned by the sudden change in Miley’s behavior. With a new sense of purpose, she seemed determined to recover and regain her strength.
