This is the tale of Buddy, a 13-year-old dog who cherished every moment with her owner, Hannah Falk. When Hannah turned 21, she enlisted in the army and was dispatched to Oklahoma for military training.
The separation was tough for Hannah, especially as she had to bid farewell to her cherished pets, including her horses, Derby and Buddy, along with her loyal retriever. After three long months away, she was overjoyed to return home for the holidays and couldn’t wait to reunite with Buddy.
Buddy, whom Hannah adopted as a puppy, is now in her golden years, struggling with deafness and arthritis. Despite her age, when she saw Hannah again, Buddy offered a simple but heartfelt greeting, as if sensing the emotional moment. Seeing this, Hannah was moved to tears.
