Extended deployments place immense stress on military personnel and their families. But amidst these challenges, the impact on their beloved pets often remains unseen. These loyal companions, unable to understand the absence of their owners, experience their own form of separation anxiety.

For U.S. Army E4 Specialist Troy Glendenning, stationed in the Middle East for the past eight months, the distance from his cherished dog, Posie, has been especially difficult.

Since the moment he left, Posie has missed her human and has been eagerly awaiting his return. Although she has no idea when he will come home, whenever she goes outside, she senses that something is happening. She runs in circles, barking excitedly, until she finally spots him.

Troy was nervous about how Posie would react, but her response exceeded all his expectations. As soon as she saw him, her excitement exploded. She sprinted toward him, leaping into his arms, wagging her tail furiously, and showering him with kisses all over his face.

Troy and Posie formed a deep bond during the COVID quarantine, and their heartfelt reunion clearly shows just how strong that connection has become.

Both are overjoyed to be reunited, eager to spend every moment together as they catch up on all the time they missed.
