One remarkable story involves a 6-week-old puppy that survived a devastating accident. After a tiring day on the job, a group of construction workers heard the desperate cries of a tiny dog. Realizing the urgency, they knew they had to act swiftly to help.
They started searching for the source of the sound, but their efforts were in vain. As the cries persisted, one of them glanced upward and made a startling discovery—the cries were coming from above. To their shock, they saw a tragic scene: a Chihuahua puppy was being carried away in the talons of a hawk.
They were all taken aback and unsure of how to respond when the hawk released the Chihuahua, sending it tumbling down toward them. The workers rushed over to check on the puppy, and they were astonished by what they found. Thankfully, the little dog’s injuries were not too serious, allowing them to carefully pick him up and take him to the nearest veterinary clinic, where he was examined and confirmed to be in good health.
The tiny puppy brought to the Austin Animal Center (AAC) was in surprisingly good condition, especially considering he had fallen from the sky after being dropped by a hawk. He had several scratches along with some bruises and bumps. Following the harrowing encounter, he was given IV fluids to help replenish his strength.
Fortunately, the little Chihuahua, named Tony Hawk, is now receiving the nutrition he needs to heal. Once he has fully recovered, he will be available for adoption.
